Some new work online for Aconex to launch their 10.2 update to the Aconex application.
I directed, shot, edited, and designed the graphics screens to be consistent with the group’s new branding style. The project was turned around in two days.
Shot on Canon 7D, with effects in Adobe After Effects to key out the green screen backdrop, colour corrected the shot and removed the Apple logo from the laptop.

After putting up my hand to contribute to some blogs. I’ve written two posts on cinescopophilia. The blog is dedicated to cine gear and all things camera techy, but my articles touch on some of the themes you’ll encounter when buying and using new equipment.
With some new work on the boil, i’ve started to move towards writing more screenplays and articles.
Have a look at the below articles:
Buying Quality Gear and Reliability
‘Buying from reputable sellers is crucial, buying products that include support as a selling feature is also essential. From experience, when you buy something from apple, you know you’re going to be able to get it replaced on the spot if it’s a manufacturing fault, HP on the other hand will make you talk to an Indian operator through five hours of trouble shooting, just to get a faulty hard drive replaced.’
‘With DSLRs becoming a popular option for emerging video shooters, a number manufacturers have seen a market in providing ‘essential shooters gear’ which will quickly rid you of that unwanted cash burning a hole in your pocket. So what really constitutes essential?’
Last month, i was asked to speak at RMIT University’s Diploma of Interactive Digital Media students as part of their industry speaker lectures series.
My speech was largely based on my experiences of moving from student to professional and the bumps and hurdles that come with the territory.
For this talk, i designed a document to use in the presentation but also for use online by students (specificity those in Australia) to use as a guide to the industry and creative process. The intention of these documents was to give students some of the information i feel i would have liked to get at the same point in my life.
In November i was lucky enough to travel to Macau, China as part of the Aconex Global Sales Summit.
I was responsible for capturing the event with a swag of equipment through the conference, social events and a charity team building event.
The charity event consisted of Aconex sending 130+ staff to a local boarding school which houses approx. 60 students who are largely orphaned by their parents who come to Macau to work in the gambling industry’s.
The below video was shot, directed, graphics and edited on location in 8 hours and presented at the Conference as a presentation.
By the end of the trip i had produced 3 HD videos on location in 3 days unassisted, with a Canon 7d, 24-105mm, 50mm, and a Canon 550D 17-55mm, edited on Premier Pro Cs5.
Other duties included capturing video and audio for internal training presentations/podcasts, and event photography.
The committee consists of creative media industry representatives and alumni, who help shape the course to stay instep with industry trends and developments.
